SHIELD’s Elite Defence Program

Pure Defence

Skill with structure. Confidence with the puck.

Our Pure Defence program develops modern defencemen who can move, handle, and create plays with purpose. Each session blends defensive skating mechanics with high-skill puck work so players defend strong and transition fast.

Program Highlights

  • Skating through pivots and quick direction changes with the puck

  • Shooting from the point with quick release, accuracy, and deception

  • Walking the blue line with confidence and mobility

  • Puck transfers, deception, and decision-making under pressure

  • Tactical block: Gap closes, recoveries, breakouts, blue-line walks
